Personal flotation device, pfd. A good one. NRS, Stohlquist...
Start with a dry bag that's about 110liters. Keep clothing simple. Skivies, a few shorts, lite rain gear, puffy and sweatshirt for summer time. Quite often we'll get afternoon wind and quick thunderstorms. Bring 3 tshirts, maybe a lite long sleeve shirt for sun protection. River hat, baseball hat... Footwear: super important, no flipflops, something with a heal strap or a dedicated water shoe. Toiletries: suntan lotion, wet wipes are good too. Plastic water bottle. We budget 1 gallon of water per day per person.
Tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad. I recommend Jack's Plastics Paco Pad.
Camp chair.
